Chamber Honors Leaders in Business, Community

Over 500 community and business leaders gathered Tuesday at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Binghamton for the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce 52nd annual Dinner and Meeting, where they saluted four of their fellow members.

Four individuals were honored at the event. Awards were given to a small business person, young professional, volunteer and civic leader.

Amy Szostak, of ICS Solutions Group, was named the 2016 Young Professional of the Year, an award given to an individual who has demonstrated excellence, creativity and initiative as an emerging leader in their business or profession, serves as a role model for peers and provides a valuable service to improve the quality of life for others in the community.

Hailing from Rochester, Szostak created the social forum TALL (Transplants and Local Ladies) for professional women in Binghamton to engage, increase business connections, create positive change in the community and foster ethical business practices.
